Basically, I am going to do the following :

1. Give a quick demo on PXE booting system rescue system on a host.

2. Show a modification I have made to allow for a pxebooted server to boot another. * if anyone wants to bring their laptop* we can pxeboot that one as well, and so, on.
.
3. Do a quick demo of a network ( headless ) install of CentOS 56 install on a host.

4. While that ( the install is going on ) , go thru some of the basics of PXE booting, ie the components required for PXE booting from a server side ( dhcp, tftp, thttp) and the supporting directories.

5. Hopefully the installs finishes and we can reboot either into:

5.1 the newly installed system ( CentOS 5.6 Xen server with SSH ) connected via a serial console and verify the result.
5.2 Netboot into system rescue to perform some "maintenance" on the newly installed server.

I will write out some outline and notes in the coming days and send them to you. I don't know how to use Powerpoint, so some form of notes will have to do.

During the demo, I will use a EEE1000pc as the PXE server etc and an old Toshiba laptop as the install client. Do we have a projector - do I need any special software or can we just plug the video port into a projector. If not ( fallback position) we can all gather around a 10" screen. My EEE1000Pc runs Linux Mint Debian Edition ( I think it is Debian testing ). Thats where I will be doing the demo from.
