Central District Forecast
Issued at 1531 on Thursday the 24th of April 2008

Warnings:
Nil.

Weather Pattern:
A deep low pressure system well south of Western Australia will move eastwards
over the next few days and a  series of cold fronts associated with this low
will move across Victoria. The first of these fronts is expected to weaken as it
crosses Victoria on Friday. Stronger cold fronts will move across Victoria later
Saturday and late on Sunday, then an intense low will form in the Tasman Sea on
Monday.

Forecast: Tonight and Friday
Fine until isolated showers develop from the west during the afternoon and
evening. A mild day with increasing cloud and moderate to fresh north to
northwesterly winds tending westerly later.
Fire Danger: High.

Outlooks:
Saturday     Scattered showers, chiefly afternoon. Becoming cooler. A mostly
cloudy day with fresh to strong northwesterly winds tending westerly later and
moderating.
Sunday       Showers, falling as snow above 900 metres later. Local hail
possible. Cool to cold.
Monday       Showers. Snow showers above 900 metres at first. Cold.

increasing during the day with moderate to fresh north to northwest winds
tending westerly later.
